Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Maison du Fromage for a joint celebration of architectural heritage and a host of free events to mark the European Heritage Days! ON THE PROGRAM: - VISIT THE ABONDANCE CHEESE HOUSE: A 9-stage tour will enable you to discover the secrets of Abondance cheese, through its landscapes, gestures, know-how and senses. Extend your discovery of Savoy cheeses with a visit to the local produce store! Saturday, September 20, 9:30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm. - FROM ALPAGE TO TABLE (Fun tour): Learn about the special characteristics of Abondance cheese and engage your senses with this fun tour for the whole family. Saturday, September 20, 9:30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm. - JULIETTE'S BROUETTE (3-6 years): Through an illustrated story and a wheelbarrow full of surprises, explore the daily life of Juliette, a young farmer from Abondance. Activity for families with toddlers. Saturday, September 20, 9:30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm. - SEARCH ADVISORY: 8 cheeses have escaped ... it's up to you to find them with your smartphone. Investigate and try to find the gourmand who couldn't resist biting into a wheel of Abondance! Your mission, if you accept it, is to join the Abondance Cheese Brigade and identify the culprit. Saturday, September 20, 9:30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm. - DISCOVERY TOUR “TRADITIONAL HABITAT” : On the heights of the village of Abondance, explore a traditional hamlet, lovingly maintained by its inhabitants: its houses, its chapel... Saturday 20 at 10.30 am - Limited number of places available. Meet at the Maison du Fromage Abondance, then depart for the hamlet of Charmy, 2.5 km from the village center - bring your own vehicle. In case of bad weather, visit around the exhibition. - ZOOM ON ... “LE CHALET D'ALPAGE D'AUTREFOIS” (THE ALPINE CHALET OF OLDER TIMES): Take a break during your visit to the Maison du Fromage Abondance. Immerse yourself in the history of mountain chalets in the company of a mediator, and (re)discover all the characteristics and specificities of these mountain constructions. Saturday, September 20, 3pm. - EXHIBITION “HABITAT TRADITIONNEL EN VALLEE D'ABONDANCE”: Discover the traditional farmhouses of the Vallée d'Abondance, some of which are several hundred years old.
