This nature trail lets you explore the natural and cultural treasures of Mount Benand.
A series of magnificent viewpoints offer views of Lake Geneva, the Jura Mountains, the Mémises, the Bernex Valley with its peaks (the Dent d’Oche, Mont César, the Pic de Boré, Pelluaz, and Chesnay), and the Gavot Plateau. Take the road that goes up to the left, past the school. Continue along the road until you reach the edge of a field. Follow the path that climbs through the field to reach Bénand.
3/ At the small intersection, take the road that climbs straight ahead (Impasse du vieux village) and turn right after the second house. Continue along the small road until you reach a private driveway. Take the path on your left. Continue across the field until you reach another road.
4/ Take the small road directly in front of you and head uphill. You’ll pass by the Creusaz Chapel. Continue climbing until you reach the end of the road and a farm. As you exit the forest, ignore the intersection and continue on the path straight ahead. You’ll arrive at a small farm.
You can take a break at the cross, where you can admire the magnificent view.
5/ At the bend, take the path on the right and continue downhill through the woods. You’ll come out onto a small road and see some houses. Continue downhill to the intersection.
