This tour provides insights into the life of the Bernex pastures. If the forest is gaining ground, the pastures are still alive. Heifers can be found around farms and horses are often in the summer pasture not far from the road.
Departure : "Chevrette" restaurant (Bernex)
At Malpasset, Tailla, Tirou or Bonne Eau, the buildings have been little changed since they were built 100 years ago.
Walkers are welcome in this lively mountain provided they remember to close the gates and keep their dogs on a leash.
0/ Parking of La Chevrette, Bernex. 1/ At the end of the parking lot, take the track that crosses the torrent. 2/ Climb to the left, on the same bank. Before the footbridge, turn right along a narrow path in the undergrowth to the start of a ski lift. Take a bridge to cross the torrent, then the road opposite (to the left of the Malpasset cross). 3/ After the third building, take the right-hand track. Before a footbridge, take the path on the right which climbs the slope at the edge of the meadow and joins a track. On the right, you can go back and forth to discover some beautiful chalets (do not cross the barrier). Cross the track and continue along a grassy path to the "La Tailla" chalet. Continue to the fences. Go through the chicane and climb back up through the meadow to "Chalet du Tirou". 4/ Follow the track up behind the cross. Go through a gate, cross several fords and come to two gates, take the one on the right (close it). You are now entering the forest. 5/ At the entrance to a large pasture, go left down a fairly steep track which gets lost a little in the meadow and reaches the "Bonne Eau" chalets. Continue right, the track crosses a ford, twists and turns and, behind a turnstile, leads to a wide track. Take this to the left: it follows the torrent and joins a tarmac road before "les Chautets". Descending, you reach the "Morgon" bridge, which you cross to return to the starting point.
