The Montée Historique of Châtel is back! Over the course of two days, you’ll be able to admire an array of beautiful classic and sporty cars.
▶ Saturday, September 12:
- Starting at 9.30 a.m., technical inspections at Pré la Joux
- 6 p.m., parade through the village of Châtel
- 8 p.m., gathering at the church square
➡️ The Montée Historique evening at the event hall of the Châtel Cultural Centre, for a convivial and festive moment with a concert by the band Feeline:
- From 6.30 pm: the bar opens
- From 8.00 pm: dinner (€25 per person)

▶ Sunday, September 13:
- starting at 9:00 a.m., demonstrations at the Pré la Joux and Plaine Dranse sites
- we’ve thought of our little drivers too! A play area will be set up so that they can enjoy the Historic Run as well.
- snacks and drinks stands available on site.
- A driving tour is also being organised, setting off from Pré-la-Joux! A road trip to allow you to discover the valley’s magnificent landscapes and, above all, to enjoy your beautiful cars, all supervised by our team. We’ll return to the Pré-la-Joux site at around 12.30 pm to continue the Montée Historique celebrations.
Prices: €50 per car & €12 per passenger

Closure of the D228A between Pré-la-Joux and the Col de Bassachaux: Sunday 13 September 2026 from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 7.00 pm
This route, which is closed to traffic solely for safety reasons, is reserved exclusively for registered participants, as well as members of the organizing committee, emergency services, security personnel, and law enforcement.
📢 To mark the Montée Historique of Châtel and the final day of opening for the Pierre Longue and Rochassons chairlifts, a special fare is offered to pedestrians using these lifts:
• €5 for a return trip on the Pierre Longue
• €10 for a combined return trip on the Pierre Longue and Rochassons
A free shuttle bus will run between Plaine Dranse and Bassachaux (on request, on site).
