This long history spans from 1032—the date of the collapse of the Second Kingdom of Burgundy, which paved the way for the territorial establishment of Humbert I, known as “the White-Handed” ”—to 1860, the pivotal year of the signing of the treaty of annexation to France. Its ambition is to offer visitors historical context of rigorous scientific accuracy, thereby enabling the reclaiming of a collective memory of a richness unique in Europe.
