Abondance Fall Fair

The 601st Fall Fair and the Abondance International Breed and Cheese Show will be held on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, in Abondance.

PROGRAM:

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3
10:00 a.m.: Opening of the Artisan Market under the big top
11:00 a.m.: Equestrian demonstrations & musical performances
12:00 p.m.: TradiMusique - 2:30 p.m.: Tea Dance at the Salle des Fêtes
2:00 PM: Horse-drawn carriage rides
2:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Abondance AOP Cheese Contest for the General Public
3:00 PM: Demonstration of log hauling with horses
4:00 PM: Demonstration of how to prepare the “Berthoud” STG (Traditional Specialty Guaranteed) recipe
5:00 PM: Demonstration of log hauling with horses
7:00 PM: GIANT FONDUE at the Salle des Fêtes, organized by the Abondance Harmony Band (reservations at the Café de la Place or by calling 06 28 95 58 99)

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4
9:00 AM: Cow show
Abondance AOP Professional Cheese Competition
11:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.: Brass band performance
11:45 a.m.: Reception hosted by Crédit Agricole
11:30 a.m.: LUNCH at the Salle des Fêtes featuring “Le Bouilli” (Savoyard pot-au-feu) with musical entertainment by TradiMusique (reservations at 06 66 97 99 36)
12:00 PM: Traditional entertainment
Afternoon: Continuation of the Abondance Breed Cow Show and entertainment
4:00 PM: AWARDS CEREMONY for the Abondance Breed Cow Show and Abondance AOP Cheese Competition
