The Essert ski area: The village resort of Abondance offers a gondola-accessible ski area close to the village center. The area is particularly well-suited to families: from green runs to black runs, from beginners' areas to snowparks, there's something for everyone! The different sectors of the ski area - Le Lac, La Corne and Fremoux - offer slopes of varying levels of difficulty. Beginners can learn to ski in a dedicated area, with lifts adapted to their level. Younger skiers can try their hand at freestyle in the new snowpark or perfect their jumps. The Ludoffaz snow front, just a stone's throw from the village, is a run for tobogganers and skiers.
